With heavy hearts we share that Duane M. Page of Hoadley, Alberta passed away quietly at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at the age of 77 years.

Duane was born in Rimbey and raised on the family farm in the Hoadley District. He attended school a mile from his home in a one-room school house, the Western Sunset School. The school was located 5 miles west of Hoadley, and was the same school his father went to. Duane took great pleasure in growing up on the farm, enjoying every moment spent outside on the land and with the animals. He especially appreciated his mules, and could always be found feeding his cattle with his team of horses.

“Reunited with his mule, Charley,

and heading to greener pastures …”

Duane will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his son, Casey Page (Karen Dolan) of Calgary; and his cherished granddaughter, Hunter Page. He will also be remembered by his brother Lester Page of Rimbey; as well as several other family members, and many good friends. Duane was predeceased by his parents, Marvin and Irene Page.

Relatives and Friends were invited to a Graveside Service Celebration of Duane’s Life which was held at the Hoadley Cemetery, Hoadley on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. with the Reverend Gene Whitehead officiating. If friends desire, memorial tributes in Duane’s memory may be made directly to the Hoadley Cemetery Fund, R.R. 2, Bluffton, Alberta T0C 0M0.
