BARBERREE

With great sadness we announce that Susan L. Barberree of Rimbey, Alberta passed away unexpectedly at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Monday, April 5, 2021 at the age of 68 years.

Susan was born in Kitchener, Ontario in 1953, and relocated with her family to Alberta in 1967. In the summer of 1982, she was united in marriage to Lloyd Barberree, and together they raised their family in Innisfail, later settling in Rimbey. Susan was a clairvoyant, and dedicated her life’s passion the past 45 years to providing counseling, compassion, and friendship to the many she cared deeply about. She loved animals, and she loved watching science fiction and thriller movies. Susan also enjoyed camping, particularly at Open Creek Dam which was a special place for her. She was a long-time and dear friend at Glenn’s Tea Shop in Red Deer. She cared deeply about her loved ones, and cherished family gatherings in her home. She will be greatly missed.

Susan will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Lloyd; her twin daughters, Mandy and Lori; her stepson, Bruce; and stepdaughter, Beth; as well as three precious grandchildren: Jack, Ella, and Owen. She will also be lovingly remembered by her mother, Leona; and her siblings: two brothers, Danny and Wayne; and her sister, Dori; in addition to several nieces and nephews, other relatives, and numerous friends.

Susan’s family would especially like to thank the staff at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre for their kind and thoughtful care.

A Gathering of family and friends in Celebration of Susan’s Life will take place at a later date. If friends desire, memorial tributes in her memory can be made directly to the charity of one’s choice. Condolence messages may be forwarded to the family by visiting: www.ofc-ltd.ca
