With sadness we announce that Bruce James Bardenhagen of Eckville, Alberta passed away at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre on Monday, March 13, 2023, at the age of 87 years.

Bruce was born on his parent’s homestead near Gilby, Alberta in 1936. He went on to live a life full of adventure, great friends, sports, travel, fly fishing, and a ton of hard work – which Bruce loved! He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Bruce will be forever remembered by his loving wife Joan; son Rod (Cristy) Savoy of Whitecourt; and a cherished granddaughter Tiffany. He will also be forever remembered by his sister Ruby Cherniak of Edmonton; as well as several nieces and nephews, other family members, and many friends. Bruce was predeceased by his parents Eric and Linda; and his sister Lorraine Loomer.

A Celebration of Bruce’s life was held at a later date, when the warm summer weather permitted.
