BETLAMINI

Daphne Betlamini (neé Thomas) of Ponoka, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Ponoka Hospital and Care Centre on Sunday, July 2, 2023, at the age of 85 years.

Daphne loved her family and friends deeply, and lived a full and happy life. Her love of life, passion for books, and sense of humour is legendary.

Daphne will be lovingly remembered by her three children Sheryl (David) Fricke of Ardrossan, Alberta; Denise (David) Henry of Bentley; and Joe (Heather) Betlamini of Winfield; her brother Anton (Cathy) Thomas of Ponoka; and her stepchildren Evelyn (Kevin) Johnson of Winfield; Sharon (Fred) Schultz of Edmonton; and Don Peterson of Edmonton. She will also be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Brent (Kelsey), Jeff (Megan), Nadine, Duncan (Jalaine), Justine (Lee), Mason, Brady, Lyndsy (Johannes), Erika (David), Cameron, and Darrel; and her great-grandchildren Deegan, Dainan, Aiden, Evalyn, Cassidy, Rhett, Briar, Nolan, Barrett, Aurora, and Hazel; in addition to many other relatives and special friends. Daphne was predeceased by James “Jimmy” Peterson, her partner of 40 years; the father of her children Dick Betlamini; her parents William and Ida Thomas; her brother David Thomas; and her sister-in-law Carin Thomas.

A small Celebration of Daphne’s Life will be held at a later date. She will be laid to rest at a later time in the Maywood Cemetery, Buck Lake.
