CARRIGAN

Darrell P. Carrigan of Rimbey, Alberta passed away at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at the age of 89 years.

Darrell will be sadly missed by his four children David Carrigan (Mary Beth), Brian Carrigan (Huiru), Kathleen Vandenhoven (Burke), and Patrick Carrigan; and lovingly remembered by his four grandchildren Alex (Jessica), Kendra, Arianna, and Griffin; and his two great-grandchildren Claire and Liam.  He will also be remembered by his siblings Kevin (Florence), Moira (Frank), Joanne (Mike), and Cathy (Duane); in addition to many nieces, nephews, and friends.  Darrell was predeceased by his wife of many years, Joan in 2018; and his brother Sean.

With respect for Darrell’s wishes, no formal funeral service will be held.  He will be laid to rest beside his loving wife in the West Haven Cemetery, Rimbey at a later date.  If desired, memorial donations in Darrell’s memory may be made directly to the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre, c/o the Rimbey Hospital Legacy Committee, Box 440, Rimbey, Alberta  T0C 2J0 (www.rimbeyhospitallegacycommittee.com).  Thoughts and messages to the family may be shared through the condolence area located at the bottom of this page.
