It is with mixed emotions that the family of Orpha Elaine Donnelly (née Jodoin) shares the news of her passing.  Orpha passed away at Bethany Sylvan Lake on Friday, August 2, 2024, at the age of 77 years.  The family takes solace in knowing that she is no longer struggling, or in pain, and that she is in a much better place.

Quilting, needlework, gardening, music, and travelling brought Orpha great pleasure and filled many hours.  She is survived by her two sons Chris Lauritsen of Eckville; and Gary Lauritsen of Penhold; as well as her four siblings Joyce Cyr of Mannville, Alberta; Joanne (Garry) Smith of Eckville; Yalande Roth of Ponoka; and Ronald (Yvonne) Jodoin of Stony Plain.  Orpha was predeceased  by  her  husband  Alan;  her  parents  Omer  and Lenora Jodoin; and her brother Keith. 

Orpha’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff at Bethany Sylvan Lake for their exceptional care and compassion during her four years in their care.
