FOWLER


We are greatly saddened to announce that Gordon “Gordie” L. Fowler of Bluffton, Alberta passed away peacefully, with family by his side, at the University of Alberta Hospital, Edmonton on Friday, December 16, 2022 at the age of 61 years.


Gordon will be lovingly remembered by his family: his mother Isabel Fowler of Bluffton; and his three brothers Clifford (Ingrid) Fowler of Edmonton; Jim (Tammie) Fowler of Red Deer; and Harold (Jody) Fowler of Grande Prairie; as well as many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Gordon was predeceased by his father Bill in 2011.


Gordon’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Manzankowski Alberta Heart Institute for their tireless care and compassion. “Gordon needed each one of you throughout his stay, and we are forever grateful.”


A Memorial Service in Gordon’s Honour was held at the Bluffton Community Hall, Bluffton on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. with Deacon Jeff Barkman officiating. Fellowship and refreshments followed. Gordon was laid to rest in the Iola Fairview Cemetery, Bluffton in the spring of 2023.
