JUUTI

Our hearts are filled with great sadness as our family pillar of support and strength, William “Willie” Lee Juuti of Bentley, Alberta, passed away peacefully, yet very suddenly, at the University of Alberta – Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute, Edmonton on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, one day following his 76th birthday.

 

Willie leaves behind his loving family who will miss him greatly.  He will be forever remembered by his wife Janet; his daughter Judy Gates of Bentley; as well as two extra-precious grandchildren, Abbi and Colt.  He will also be lovingly remembered by three brothers Robert (Jill) Juuti of Rimbey, Ralph (Linda) Juuti of Leduc, and Leroy (Sharron) Juuti of Bentley; his sister Rita (Ken) Duckering of Red Deer; sister-in-law Carmen Juuti of Bentley; his close cousin Terry (Joan) Juuti, also of Bentley; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews, other family members, and many cherished friends.  Willie was predeceased by his parents Carl and Martha; his first wife Gayle in 2005; and his brother Dick.

 

A Memorial Service in Celebration of Willie’s Life will be held at the Blindman Valley Ag Centre, Bentley on Friday, February 7, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Stephen Wuori officiating.  He will be laid to rest in the Grace Lutheran – Vig Cemetery, Bentley at a later date.  If desired, memorial donations in Willie’s memory may be made directly to the charity of one’s choice.  Thoughts and messages to the family may be shared through the condolence area located at the bottom of this page.
