With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Ralph “Spencer” Pentland of Rimbey, Alberta. He peacefully passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at the age of 67 years.
Spencer will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife of 30 years, Judy; his stepson Scott Loewen (Erin Dean) of Comox, British Columbia; and stepdaughter Dallas Grubenmann of Breton; as well as his step-grandchildren Matthaeus “Matt”, Lina, Zöe, and Lukas Grubenmann, all of Breton; and Anthony Dean (Katey) of Victoria, British Columbia. He will also be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his brothers Randy Pentland (Kathlene Barrette) of Creston, British Columbia; and Rick Pentland of Edmonton; in addition to many nieces, nephews, other family members, and several close friends. Spencer was predeceased by his parents Lea and Howard Pentland of St. Albert; his stepson-in-law Simon Grubenmann of Breton; along with his sister and his brother-in-law Judy and Al Jones of Camrose.
An Informal Gathering in Celebration of Ralph Spencer Pentland’s Life will be held at the Winfield Agriplex, Main Hall, Winfield, Alberta on Saturday, May 25, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Family and friends are welcome to bring their favourite potluck snack to enjoy in Spencer’s honour. Following this gathering, those wishing to share in a continued social time are invited to the Winfield Lions Park for a celebratory cheer as we remember and give tribute to our loving husband, stepfather, step-grandfather, brother, uncle, and dear friend.
