REGNIER

Joseph Henry Regnier of Rimbey, Alberta, affectionately known as “Hank”, passed away peacefully at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre on Thursday, January 11, 2024, one day after celebrating his 94th birthday.    

Hank is survived by his children:  Astella (Franklin) Warren, Beverly (Ron) Mundle, Glenda Regnier (Dean Loney), Ronald Regnier, and Lorie (Melvin) Johanson; as well as his very special friend Joyce Sherwood.  He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews, other family members, and dear friends.  Hank was predeceased by his father Hector; his mother Nora; his son Henry; one brother Alfred “Rawhide”; and his twin sisters Mary Stewart and Rose Stewart.

“Dad, you would never say goodbye to us at the end of a phone call, or when you were leaving us after a visit.  When we asked you why, you said it sounded too final.  You leaving us in the early morning of January 11 was not a final goodbye, but a “see you later” until we meet again.  We know Henry was waiting for you to come meet him.”
