ROSENKE

Ramona J. Rosenke of Breton, Alberta passed away peacefully, holding her daughter’s hand, at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at the age of 68 years.          

Ramona loved her family and embraced an adventurous spirit.  Visiting the mountains in British Columbia, seeing the ocean in California, watching the birds in her bird feeders, and gardening every summer brought her immeasurable excitement and joy.  The moment you walked into Ramona’s home, the smell of sweet treats or canned preserves while she cooked warmly invited you in.  Whenever she hosted friends and family, her fondness for animals adorned her walls.  Safari-themed decorations, photographs of horses and dogs, along with her bird-chiming wall clock, gave a glance to the happiness that nature brought her.  Whether you knew Ramona for ten minutes or ten years, she greeted everyone with a smile.  The fun demeanour and enthusiasm that she brought to those around her will be greatly missed.   

Ramona is survived by her husband Bruce; and her children Carson (Salena) Rosenke, Carla (Darren) Muth, and Cory (Rosey) Rosenke.  She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren Gordy, Jessa, Reilly, Wyatt (Tara), Dawson (Hannah), Maximus, and Cadence; precious great-grandchildren Cassidy and James; and her siblings Angela, Roseanne, and Richard; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends.  Ramona was predeceased by her parents Walter and Helen Erickson; her siblings Joyce Fox and Kenny Erickson; sisters-in-law Linda and Diana; and her brother-in-law Dennis.
