The world lost a beautiful soul, Brenda Gail Sorenson, on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at her home in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, at the age of 67 years.

Brenda will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her son Robert Parker of Edmonton; her daughter Shanel (Wayne) Higham of Spruce Grove; as well as her precious granddaughters Ayda and Zia.  She will also be lovingly remembered by her brother Larry (Deborah) Kobza of Red Deer; her two sisters Debi (Lorne) Huber of Edmonton, and Carol (Ken) Storoz of Stratford, Ontario; in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family, and many friends.  Brenda was predeceased by her husband Keith; and her parents Edward and Natalka Kobza.

Brenda was known for her generous and kind heart, her detailed conversations laced with a great sense of humour, and her amazing hugs.  She was the heart and soul of her family, and she will be deeply missed.

With respect for Brenda’s wishes, no formal funeral service will be held, but please share a story and raise a glass in celebration of her journey home.  If desired, memorial donations in Brenda’s memory may be made directly to the charity of one’s choice.  Thoughts and messages to the family may be shared through the condolence area located at the bottom of this page.
